Some changes have been applied to the Open Shootout Contest.
- The Gallery Integrated Voting Feature that limited voters to a simple vote has been disabled.
- From the next voting period starting 15 June 2007, voting will be by a poll in the Forum
- Voters will be able to choose their favourite three images
- Each choice made will be allocated one vote
- The choices made will not be weighted
- Voters may select only one or two images if they wish
- Voters will be able to vote for their own images since this method cannot prevent this
- To maintain objectivity, it is suggested that voters do not cast votes for their own images
- The images will be ranked on the total number of votes received
- In the event of a tie, the first image uploaded will be the winner
- Members including the image owners are permitted to comment on images or respond to comments
- Such comments are permitted once the images are uploaded
- The Gallery Integrated Rating Feature has been disabled for images uploaded for the contests
