When following the menu external link, I get this string:
{---{--{-{{G2TOKEN}}-}--}---}

I was confused on what the external link should be set to from inside joomla.   Does this look right?

hxxp: mysite/index. php?option=com_joomg2

My joomla version is: 2. 5. 11
My gallery version is: 2. 3. 2
The version of joomg2 is: 1. 1. 6

After following (hopefully) all the steps in the wiki, I noticed this error in the httpd log:

[Sun Jul 07 15:44:55 2013] [error] PHP Fatal error:  require_once(): Failed opening required '/data/html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/. . /. . /. . /modules/joomg2/classes/SimpleHTMLDom. class' (include_path='. :/usr/lib/php/:/usr/share/pear/:/usr/share/php/') in /data/html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi. class on line 2827

I solved that by doing this inside the gallery2 modules/joomg2 directory:
ln -s . . /. . /. . /lib/G2SimpleHTMLDom/G2SimpleHTMLDom. class SimpleHTMLDom. class

I hope that was ok.

However, I'm still seeing these errors:

[Sun Jul 07 15:53:00 2013] [error] PHP Notice:  Undefined index: joomg2_email in /data/html//gallery2/modules/joomg2/classes/GalleryJoomG2. class on line 113, referer: hxxp: mysite/gallery2/main. php
[Sun Jul 07 15:53:00 2013] [error] PHP Notice:  Undefined index: joomg2_bounce in /data/html/gallery2/modules/joomg2/classes/GalleryJoomG2. class on line 117, referer: hxxp: mysite/gallery2/main. php

The codex says "Create a menu item as an external url pointing to your gallery2 installation from the Joomla! Administration interface."

A URL is what you would enter into a browser if you wanted to navigate to your gallery2 installation (forget about Joomla at this stage)

I will look into the SimpleHTMLDom issue later (Critical) and the PHP notices (Not Critical) later.

If I enter a url that points directly to the gallery "frontend", then how is it using any components in joomla?  It just opens a new page as if I went to gallery directly outside of joomla.   I must be missing something.   Can you give me a few examples?

My gallery url is hxxp: mysite/gallery2  .   By clicking on that from the joomla menu, it just takes me directly to gallery without logging in and without embedding inside joomla.

Sorry I'm not getting it.

All I can say is that you need to follow the installation steps exactly as written in the codex and not try to second guess it.

In terms of examples, here are a few:

Hi Dayo,

I appreciate your reply.   I went over all the instructions again and changed the menu url based on your example above.   When I login to the joomla site and select the g2 gallery menu item, it takes me to the gallery site page.   In other words, it's not embedded in joomla, it's as if I went to the gallery site outside of joomla.

I don't know what else to do.   I need get my joomla site working.   What do you suggest?

Hello, I appreciate your issue but as I am not standing over your shoulder watching what you are doing, it is impossible to tell why it is not working for you.

As the examples showed, several people have been able to follow the instructions and get the bridge to work.

It is most likely the case that you are missing out a step somewhere along the line.

Have you installed, configured and activated the module on the Gallery2 end for instance?
