This thread is to track a JS Query issue.

When g2drupal is activated as a plugin in Gallery, you no longer get a JS tree as a destination for moving albums or photos.   If you deactivate g2drupal (which unembeds Gallery) then functionality returns.   Thus, embedding breaks this JS.

This is reminiscent of an oooold Gallery 2 issue perhaps of compressing . js files, but no discovered solutions worked.   Alternate themes made no difference, nor did a large amount of plugins and modules deactivated in Gallery 2 and Drupal.   Re-install also didn't help.

Workaround:  Only un-embedding the gallery by deactivating the g2drupal plugin as Site Admin restored functionality.   So you could do this temporarily when needing to move albums and photos and then re-activate the plugin to re-embed.

Also breaks Rating plugin.

When g2drupal is activated (embedded) the rating functions (clicking a star) breaks.

Workaround:  See above.

There is no reason why this should the case ordinarily and it must be some JS conflicts at play.

You can try a different Drupal template as such conflicts are probably down to the JS in use in the template if the author has not taken steps to avoid conflicts.

Look at the entry for "Some javascript functionality doesn't work anymore." under troubleshooting in the codex.

Agreed, this must be related to something else - as Gallery 2 works fine when it's not embedded into Drupal.

No luck so far, but will keep looking into it. . .

Hi,

These are not just matters of being related to something else, they are specifically javascript conflicts between G2 and your Drupal template.

As said, refer to the the entry for "Some javascript functionality doesn't work anymore." under troubleshooting in the codex.

Not having too much luck.   I've tried disabling various JS-using modules like social media, parish calendar, smiley, gtranslate, back to top, color box. . .   Even tried using jquery_update and different date popups (for the calendar).

You obviously haven't located the conflicting script(s). It may even be loaded by the template in use itself.

Clearly.   ;)

I'm about out of other scripts.   The template itself has two scripts (for Nivo slider) but is not being loaded.   From the . info file:

; scripts[] = js/jquery. nivo. slider. pack. js
; scripts[] = js/script. js

Hi.

Unfortunately, I have nothing further to add.

All the best.
