First off thank you very much for the bridge installed it and everything worked perfect first time or at least it appears to be so far.

I am totally new to both Zen Cart and Gallery 2 so please excuse me if this question has been answered many times on the respectiveorums.

I notice on the zen cart install there are 2 ready 2 go templates called pgsnow and pgcharcoal, I would like to customize the look of the site and wondered if I need to modify the css on the existing templates or weather I can install a diffdifferentplate.

On the gallery is it a case of any template will work as I notice the standard template  appears seperate from the bridge.

Thats my questions for now once again sorry if this appears in the forums somewhere already.

Cheers

Hi

You can modify those templates or install your own.  The bundled templates are guaranteed to work thats all and if you know HTML, CSS and PHP, it is not difficult to modify any template to work.

You either edit the templates in place or take a copy and edit that copy .... look in the codex at the section titled "Then, Configure Module in ZenCart"

I use PGTheme on the G2 end and based the whole thing on my PGTheme configuration but any theme should work.

Many thanks for the quick reply did not expect to hear back that quick.

Thats great stuff think I will modify your theme as at least I know I am working with something good to start with.

I have no problem with html and css but very very basic knowledge of php and certainly no oop php so dont know quite how advanced I would need to be to get any theme converted to work.

once again thanks for your conversion and the very fast response.

Thanks again

Basic PHP should be enough.  I don't really know OOP PHP myself that much and the templates don't use classes or stuff like that.
