Hello,

I have some difficulties to understand the following statement from the web page hxxp: codex. gallery2. org/Gallery2:Modules:zencart :

Upload the module files in "gallery2" to your Gallery2 modules directory.

I suppose it means that the module files should be in zencart-v139h-110108/gallery2 and I should copy them to Gallery2/modules.
But the fact is I don't have zencart-v139h-110108/gallery2 even after the installation phase.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

I can see where the confusion is coming from.

To explain, this tool is used to bridge two separate applications: Zencart and Gallery2. So for starters, you need to have both applications installed on your system.

Now, in order to bridge the applications, some files need to be placed into the Zencart folder and others into the Gallery2 folder. Therefore, the tool has two folders called "Zencart" and "Gallery2" respectively which contain the files that should go into the respective  folders for each.

Now, the files that should go into Zencart go into a number of places and people were always messing this up. In order to help, I put together a Zencart package with the files already placed into the correct locations so that instead of going to the Zencart site, downloading and installing Zencart and then putting the ZCG2 files for Zencart in, with the risk of messing it up, you just download and install the provided files.

So this takes care of the Zencart side of things. You now need to take the gallery2 files from the ZCG2 package and put them into Gallery2. So if you downloaded and installed the Zencart package provided, you have just installed Zencart. You now need to get the ZCG2 module files and install it into G2.

To recap, the Zencart package provided is not the module. It is simply Zencart with the correct files in place for G2 to connect to it after the module is installed in G2.

The download location has a set of files called "ZC-G2 Bridge". This is the module. The files you downloaded is called "Prepatched Zencart Fileset" and is described to be "...for use with the ZC-G2 Bridge which should indicate that it is NOT the ZCG2 Bridge but is for use with the bridge.

So download the ZCG2 Bridge and place the files in the Gallery2 folder from there into your G2 as described in the codex. As you have used the prepatched Zencart files, you don't need to do anything on the Zencart side. Accordingly, the codex says "Skip this Section if using the prepatched Zencart fileset provided" under "Then, configure Zencart" section.
