OK ... nothing usual there apart from that the module was not tested on PHP 5.2.x.

So, you go through all the activation steps with no issues but when you click "activate" nothing happens?

correct.

my gallery has 20GB of 108922 pictures.  with 1800 users, maybe this is a issue?
Later today I'll setup a new empty test environment, I'll let you know.

Ha!

Yes it is probably the issue as the module has to go through each item and add its details to the zc database.

I don't have the experience of such a large installation with the module.

I was working with someone a while back on a largish installation but I think that was only 50k.

I think what is probably happening is that it runs until it reaches the php execution time out.

You could either temporarily disable the timeout in your php.ini or keep on clicking the activate button after the timeout length has passed so that it starts again from where it stopped until it goes through.

Check ZC directly to confirm that stuff is getting added

Check ZC directly to see if anything from G2 has been added

hmm you're right. .
in a new setup it works fine. .     In a test environment with so much pictures its going to take a long time. .
hopefulle there will be no time-out.

Apart from the timeout, there is a potential memory issue as it has to load the whole gallery into an array at some point (I think).

This is a more serious issue as it will always hit the php memory limit. (I need to confirm).

I assume that with such a large installation, you run your own server so for now, I'll suggest cranking up your php limit as far as it can go and temporarily disable the php time limit.

Just took a quick look at the code and it loads stuff album by album so in theory, it should scale quite well.

On reactivating, it will restart but it will reprocess the existing items in a different way. Could result in the limit being hit again though.

As said, it works on an album by album basis so unless there are some really huge albums, it should scale well as said.  There is a chance it might be something else going on ... You didn't confirm if anything has been added to ZC so far.

yes it is adding to the ZC :)
slow but it works, it keeps adding new pictures to ZC.   (server load is also only 0. 40)

I'll update when I know more.    its just processing now.

OK. Cool. The activation code seemed fine as I thought.

I'll make a mental note to look into adding some memory management optimisation on the MySQL side next time I work on the code as that is probably where issues may lie for big installations.

Let me know how it goes.

Is there some workaround that CZ only works for new uploaded pictures? If this is possible I would be happy.

I sent you a link to a file that adds only albums without the images at first and then any new items created will be added.

Bear in mind that the ideal setup is one where people are not able to navigate in ZC so empty albums should not be an issue.

You will also need to deactivate the add item permission for existing items.
