First of all, THANK YOU for such a wonderful product.   It's really making my life easier in the sense of getting a small'ish web shop open to sell prints.   Functionality is WONDERFUL.   My only question is in customizing . .  I was able to change the logo on the cart pages to my own. .  but I can't seem to find where the text "Designed by Dayo Akanji" lives?  I need to replace that with my own company's tagline but I can't find which PHP / CSS holds this.   Also, the HTML page titles (browser title bar) (GC <-->ZC Bridge). .  not sure where to replace that text.   I would love to have Dayo's credits somewhere on the page(s) and I'm pretty sure they appear at the bottom of the site - if not I will code them in there, as I believe Dayo should receive credit for his work!

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions!

Regards,

-Roger

I actually managed to answer my own questions doing some creative text-based searches and found the header. php where the info I needed was.

One more question involving item thumbnails. .  the SQL query listed in the documentation doesn't seem to work (using MySQL command-line in a Linux shell on my webhost's network). .  is the query documented elsewhere?  I've already enabled Long URL's and URL Rewrite but still have no thumbnails.   Once I fix that, my site is pretty much ready to go. .  thanks again!!

Just installed a week ago, so the latest version(s) of everything.   3. 2. 4 on the module and 1. 3. 8a on Zencart.   Everything is working, except the thumbnails.   Thanks so much for the quick reply!

Update to v3.2.5 to start with as there is a separate issue with v3.2.4.

Not so sure why you don't have thumbnails.  Try deactivating and then reactivating the module in your G2 admin after the upgrade to v3.2.5.

Ughh, now I'm totally hosed up, might just start from scratch.   Upgraded to 3. 2. 5 (folder by folder) and now in Gallery2 in the Modules list, Zencart Module is listed with a blue "circle" indicating it needs to be upgraded.   When I click "upgrade" nothing happens at all.   Would it make sense, at this point, to remove everything (not even sure what "everything" is at this point) and start over from scratch?  Just put my store online this morning too.

Sorry. Getting really careless.

Download the 3.2.5 files again and change the module.inc file in the gallery2 fileset with the one in the new fileset.

No problem . .  I had replaced the 3. 2. 5 zencart module with the old 3. 2. 4 one and that brought me back online at least.   I'll do this now. .  thanks again!

Ok . .  replaced module. inc and got a few missing file errors when I clicked 'upgrade' so I made sure all of 3. 2. 5 was transferred over via FTP file by file.   Now, I still can't activate the module . .  the blue "upgrade" circle is present, but I'm back to when I click "upgrade" nothing happens.   However, prior to the new module. inc file, the version was listed as 4. 0. 0 and the installed version 3. 2. 4 . .  now the version is listed correctly as 3. 2. 5 and installed 3. 2. 4.   Anyhow I'm going to go back to 3. 2. 4 and just live with the missing thumbnails.   Thanks!

Hmmm.

I'll have to take a closer look at it.

In the meantime, try deactivating and reactivating and this should sort out the thumbnails.

Yep.

I screwed up.

There was nothing wrong with 3.2.4 but I had mislabelled v4.0.0 on my computer as v3.2.4 so everything got mixed up which was why I thought I had released experimental code.

I'll re-release v3.2.4 as 3.2.6.

Ok, so should I just put back 3. 2. 4 and call it a day?  I'll do that.   Now, the only step I'd be missing in order to get the thumbnails is the SQL query, which seems like it may have a redundant part to it . .  what needs updating?  If I can run the query it will probably solve my one outstanding issue.

Thanks again for all your help!

So I put the 3. 2. 4 code back, but still no thumbnails.   I can live with it the way it is though.   Do you have a Donate button somewhere on your site?  I really appreciate all your assistance with this, and the plugin is just plain awesome!

I'm not getting enough queries about donations to bother setting a button up at the moment … actually, you are the first person to enquire.

Wow, well if you have PayPal please send me the details. .  I'm not setup yet but I'm in the process of setting up a business PayPal account for the photo business, and I feel like you've definitely gone above and beyond supporting a free, open-source product.

One more question . .  I received my first order through the store today (yay!) and it included one item that I had in the store at one time but pulled (a particular print size) . .  I found that option only shows up in certain photos (add to basket, and on the Zencart screen, the print size drop-down) . .  is there a way to "purge" that data so that only the print sizes/options/etc I have setup NOW are available?  I'm able to fulfill the order placed so no worries there, just dont' want inconsistency across the items, that could cause confusion with the customers.   Thanks again, and let me know how I can make some sort of donation or something. .  or maybe I'll look through your photo gallery and buy some prints. . .  either way, my thanks!

The thumbnail issue is most likely due to your directory structure.  The standard structure is "gallery2/zencart". That is, zencart is installed as a subdirectory of gallery2.

You should be able to delete old options or add new ones from the module admin in G2.

Ok .. well I can probably move things around, update a few tables and a few config files and solve that pretty easily.  As for deleting the options and such, I've taken care of that.

Thanks!

Hi .. so I moved my cart so now it's /photos/cart instead of /photos and /cart.  Now, instead of a picture, I get a thumbnail that says 'no picture available'.  Before I was getting nothing (blank in Firefox, Red X in IE8).  I tried turning Long URL's on and off in the module (de-activate / reactivate inbetween) .. when Long URL's was NOT activated, I got your generic thumbnail.  When it WAS activated I got nothing (red X in IE8.)  Not sure what else to check, but I'm fine with leaving it as-is with the generic thumbnail at this point unless you can think of anything else I can check.  My URL Rewrite pattern is v/%path% if that matters.

Fixed!!!

Disabled URL Rewrite, uninstalled it.  Re-installed it and re-configured it to use Apache mod_rewrite instead of PHP whateverthehell.  Now the thumbnails work.

Whew.

Thank you SO MUCH for all your help!!!!

Not only that, but now thumbnails are showing up in places they never did before!  I'm beyond impressed with this module.

That's progress. Try deactivating and reactivating the module if you haven't done so yet.

If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall it.

Basically it needs to rebuild the path to the G2 thumbnails.

EDIT: Glad to see you got it fixed.

Yes, everything is working better than ever, thumbnails are showing up in places I didn't realize they were even supposed to, and the whole thing looks great!  Few more customizations (mostly CSS, inserting my logo etc) and I'm good to go!  Thanks so much!!!!
