The courtyard of the Umayyad Mosque, Damascus, Syria with the minaret known as "The Bride" because of its beauty in the background.
This minaret was the first minaret built in Islam which developed the custom after entering Damascus and finding tall church spires including this one at the then church of St. John the Baptist which was later converted into the mosque.
